DESCRIPTION:
The Morton Theatre Corporation invites Athens to a free screening of Candyman (2021). In this sequel to the 1992 horror film of the same name, artist Anthony McCoy becomes embroiled in discovering the Candyman's history and unknowingly makes way for the supernatural killer’s return. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as both the protagonist McCoy and the titular character, viewers return to the Chicago neighborhood where the urban legend began for a new age of terror and mayhem. The screening is free and open to the public and concessions will be available for sale.

RATED R: Bloody horror violence, and language including some sexual references.
